Merry Christmas to everyone, hope Santa was good to you and the reindeer kept it upright this year. This past week was a super busy one for me, not only Christmas but also moving out and today is my Dad's birthday. There's a tradition in our family that we always do Christmas Eve with to other families that are really close family friends that we're known forever. This year unfortunately one of the clan was holed up in the hospital with a bad ruptured appendix/peritonitis so we all moved into CHEO and played Whovillopoly there!! It was a (hopefully) once in a lifetime thing, but one that put things into perspective.
Christmas day was really nice, we had family dinner here and I think everyone really enjoyed it. The only bad thing was the freezing rain that started that evening, resulting in the 2 inches of ice that currently are covering everything. This has been super rough for me as it means that riding is out of the question, but also that skiing has been made inpossible. It's all a little ridiculous, yesterday I went out to get the newspaper andstarted sliding down our walkway before starting the Bugs Bunny sprint back towards the door and away from my imminent crash down the stairs. This has meant so serious trainer time, but I'm confident that by tomorrow it should be alright and a ski or ride outdoors will be had.
Currently my mom is making scones for dad's biurthday and I wa strying to do the 750 word holiday crossword. Got about 40 done and mailed it in for the day. Watched Canada dismember Latvia yesterday, the forst 9 goals were good but the last 7 I started to feel bad for the Latvians. What do you expect when the whole country has 1500 hockey players. Manotick probably has 1500 hockey players. I do know for a fact that we have more indoor rinks that all of Mongolia. Not bad eh.
