100 Post Anniversary

It's a big day for That's What's Up, unfortunately no one else cares. The most exciting thing to happen lately is my booking a flight to San Diego!! Leaving this Friday and coming home after a stop in Tucson in February. I've been training as usual, mixing trainer rides, skiing and riding outside on the trusty MTB if the temperature rises above frigid. Today definately qualified as frigid, so trainer and skiing were on the menu. Apparently not frigid enough to freeze the one of the many creeks running through the fields behind our house though. Crossing said creek one ski broke through and my foot was instantly frozen. Turns out jagged ice frozen to the bottom of a ski doesn't glide so well, so I invented a brand new technique to 'ski' home and promptly campaigned the IOC to include this technique in the next Olympics. I'm still waiting for a response but modern pentathlon better watch out.

It's all ok though, just a few more days in the Great White North and I'm home free. I do have a bunch of stuff left to do, notably packing, but more importantly racking up a bunch of ping-pong matches in the Riggs family world series. Ping-pong is one of two things that my sister has a hope of beating me at, the other being Wii duck hunt. In all fairness I'm not that bad of a ping-pong player and duck hunt is impossible to win. Just ask Joey Veloce about my basement game skills as I led Team Canada(me) to a dominating 5-0 record versus Team Italy(him) in the inaugural basement game olympics, a test of athleticism and skill as tough as hard as any Olympic sport, and definately harder than sailing or ice dancing. I'll be sure to keep you up to date on the world series standings, and if anyone has ideas on avoiding cavity searches at airports please fill me in.
