Thanks for stopping by...Stay classy

Well that's a bit of a lie, San Marcos, CA is where I am currently residing. A bit less than an hour from San Diego itself and right at the base of the mountains, it's a pretty unreal place to be. So far I've been here for 3 days, the first two were riding up into the hills and today down to the coast. I have to say the hills here are steeper and more numerous than anywhere else I've ridden. Nice had long steady climbs and South Carolina has some decent climbs, but here there is simply no flat ground to be found!! Yesterday I did about 7000' of climbing without even searching out the hills and today on the flatest route I could make I was still over 3000' in 2 1/2 hours. Since I am staying here for almost 4 weeks before heading to Tucson I have been easing into it somewhat, with two good days over the weekend and then an easy spin today, making sure that my legs are ready to go and avoiding any injuries. Today's ride was beautiful, right down along the Pacific coast highway, watching a bunch of people surf in the rain. It looked really cold, they all had full wetsuits and hoods and stuff on but it was cool nonetheless. Currently it's raining pretty hard, just getting it all out of it's system I figure!!

No sightings of Ron Burgandy or Arnie yet, but we're going to In-N-Out burger soon so that's looking like my best chance.
