Team Canuck Camp wrap-up

Since the camp has long since ended, I am am finishing up my time here in Tucson I thought it would be a good idea to write something. The last ride of camp took place on Saturday when a few of us rode the Shootout for a good test of the legs. The Shootout is a legendary ride here in Tucson, over 150 people regualrly show up, including many pros living down here in the winter. The ride starts easy but after getting out of town it seriously picks up until it is a full on race. This continues all way up the 15k climb of Madera canyon before everyone calls it a day and rides easy home. We ended up with 160k in 5 hours and a great workout. Overall this was easily the best/most fun training camp I've ever been to. The group as a whole was awesome, I learned a lot in the IST sessions and the rides were great. The week of training leaves me fatigued but not close to destroyed and ready to get back at it tomorrow after today's easier spin. There's tons more written on the CCA website and I put up a couple few photos here. I'll put up more later but the internet I'm stealing is exceptionally slow.
