Perma-Packed

Not too much to say about my time is south Carolina. Good riding, nice weather, lots more on the OCA site if you're interested. Anyways I had someone ask me the other day if I had started packing for Belgium yet. The answer was of course no, more specifically I don't really unpack. It's more like taking clothes out of a bag, straight into the washing machine then back in the suitcase. Here's what's in the bag for this trip...

Suitcase- 1 pair cycling shoes, 1 pair sandals, 4x kits(shorts+jersey), 1x long sleeve, a bunch of socks, pair of sweatpants, leg/arm/kneewarmers, various gloves, 4 T-shirts, long sleeve baselayer, massage stick/practical joke device, travel roller, toothbrush, anti-saddle sore soap, vest, 3 pairs of sunglasses and a rain jacket.

Carry-on- another pair of cycling shoes, pedals, laptop, ipod, a book or two, a dozen earplugs, melatonin to make me sleep

Bike bag- bike (really?), 2 sets of wheels, extra tire and I cram my helmet in there too

Super psyched for the trip, leave here tomorrow at 3, get to Brussels the next morning after a mercifully brief stop in Washington. Lastly I have to give a huge thank you to Shawn, he's leeting me use his unreal classics wheels for the cobbles of Flanders. They're perfect wheels for that and he saved me serious $$ and hassle!! Cheers buddy, I'll get that Tom Boonen autograph for you as soon as I get there.

Apparently weeping with joy at the top of Sassafras.

be thankful you're at home where you don't have to pay for laundry and the machines aren't 9 floors down!
